(RE-1) is served by 2 high schools, 1 middle school and 5 elementary
schools with a teacher to student ratio of 1 to 23. Our district is
expanding one of the high schools and renovating several of the
elementary buildings with the passage of a recent bond issue. Special
Program schools serve pre-school and elementary aged youth. Pueblo Community College's Fremont Campus is housed in a new facility with state-of-the-art technology, small classes, and strong academic programs.

K through 8th grade Charter School MVCKS
is a public, tuition-free charter school, which opened in the Fall of
1996. MVCKS is known in Fremont County for having high standards in
educating their students, which have been demonstrated through the high
achievement on their student's CSAP (Colorado Student Assessment
Program) scores. MVCKS serves grades K-8, with an average of 25
students in each grade in Fremont County, Colorado. MVCKS will continue
to expect excellence in the years to come in their students and staff.
